The executive meeting of Chandigarh chapter of IFS was held during the annual meet the 15th ART update on 2nd and 3rd June 2018 at Forest Hill Resort, Solan, HP by joint efforts of Chandigarh and Himachal IFS chapters. The event was attended by more than 100 delegates and renowned faculty from North India including Delhi. The meeting was attended by following members Following members could not attend the meeting The new executive committee was nominated and approved unanimously and later rectified by the informal General house. The new nominated executive members are Nominated Executive members Advisory board will include all past secretaries and founder patrons The annual report was presented By Dr Shalini Gainder which highlighted the achievements of the chapter. Event was started with a successful conduction of two pre-conference workshops. The trouble shooting in ovarian stimulation and hands on training of ovum-pick up and embryo transfer on simulators to the participants. The simulators were a big attraction and experience was appreciated by nearly 80 delegates. Other highlights of the conference were a talk by Dr Kuldeep Jain on “ART pregnancies: are they different’”, a panel discussion on medico legal aspects in IVF-ET. The panel included Dr. Neeraj Nagpal IMA secretary Chandigarh and Justice V.K. Goyal besides Dr Umesh jindal, Dr Beena Muktesh, Dr Shalini Gainder from PGI Dr Yashbala and Dr Sanjeev Maheshwari. Updates on techniques of PGD & PGS, panel discussion on clinical case scenarios in infertility and PCOS, Debates on blastocyst for all, freezing embryos for all were other highlights of the conference. The vision of the Chandigarh chapter IFS is now to conduct following events at Chandigarh in 2018 Genetics Conference “ How to apply genetics in obs and gynae practice-Basics to Advances on in 2018 Conference on MALE INFERTILITY: date to be finalized. To be organized by Dr Loveleen Sodhi Participation in mid-term and annual Fertivision Organize the National conference of Fertility Preservation Society in 2019 To propose for the Fertivision 2020 jointly with Himachal, and Punjab Chapters.

Annual Report 2017 -2018 ART update was conducted on 27 -28 May at Kasauli , which was a annual conference conducted by Dr Umesh Jindal and Jindal Infertility and IVF clinics. This included a IUI workshop and sessions on PGD endoscopy and dramatized session on Infertility and IVF counseling . This was attended by more than 150 faculty and delegates . Delegates from Himachal , Punjab and Haryana participated in this conference . SIFCON 2017 was organized under SIG IFS endometriosis on 10th September 2017 at Chandigarh and was attended by more than 290 faculty and Delegates. This was organized by Sodhi clinics under Dr Lavleen Sodhi. Dr Sushma Sinha and Dr Shalini Gainder were the co convenors and chairpersons for the endometriosis group. Fertivision in December had participation and involvement as faculty from Chandigarh Chapter and 4 papers were presented from this Chapter. The post graduates from PGIMER Chandigarh won the quiz both at first and second prize teaming with delegate from other chapter . Dr Vidhi shared the first prize whereas Dr Garima shared second Prize. A total of 19 members were registered from Chandigarh Under Amity university 2 fellowships for clinical ART were awarded to Dr Shikha Sardana and Dr Alka Singla this year Both the fellows trained with Dr Umesh Jindal.
